THE AEGIS SCENARIO & ART BOOK
Long-promised, very late, but still cool: the book is finally done. All Deluxe+ backers got an update last week about it with the PDF download, and now everyone else gets to know!
>> THE BOOK PDF HAS BEEN UPDATED! Make sure to download it again from the previous update to make sure you have the correct version. <<
Y’all were very cool and helped spot all sorts of typos, rules clarifications, etc, so now all those are fixed. For everyone else, the PDF and printed version are available on our online store: www.robotstrategygame.com, the print version is up for pre-order and…
Features:
- 52 pages, jam-packed with content
- Contains 20 chapters, up from the promised 18!
- Scenarios are sorted in the Contents by player count (2, 3, 4 and 6 players!)
- Tons of story and lore content on every character and the overall story arc
- Lots of expanded and unseen art and production notes
- Some preview content for future AEGIS things…
- And it fits in your AEGIS box!

ORIGINS GAME FAIR (NEW PROMO CARD)
Another month, another convention. We’ll be hitting around 12 this year. We will be at Booth 154 against the West wall of the show floor, next to Facade Games. The difference is that at Origins this year, we’ll be giving out our new 2019 promo card! Potentially closing off AEGIS’s first set of cards, this new one is a doozy.
There have been requests for more level 5 robots and ones that are easier to make. So here’s one for you: AROZELL GELION SOL (as it is officially transcribed.) So you don’t have to squint, this robot has a unique ability called Sol Inheritor that says “This robot can be combined from any Makes. When you combine into this robot, choose up to three component robots that match its Makes (AROZ, ELL, GEL, ION or SOL in this case). This robot has those robots’ Actions.”
So yeah this AEGIS-Class robot can be created from anything, but if you match parts of its big fancy name, it can use the attacks from those robots. It also has Overload, meaning you can mix and match attacks from different robots in tandem with one another! This includes the robot’s base attack, Global Detonation, which will damage and disarm all small robots in sight.
Anyone who orders something from our store gets a promo too! Including everyone who’s ordered a book so far. This card is also now in the Promos bag in the AEGIS Tabletop Simulator version.
Also, as always, James R. Millar has done some great work, shoot him a follow on Twitter or Instagram.
This promo joins a family of other promos like Valentines Poppet, Pigment Ainer, Thanksgiving Etwal and Ell-Gel-Ion Awakening which will one day be compiled into a proper promo pack.
NEW AEGIS CONTENT AT GEN CON!!
Going to Indianapolis this Summer? Well, you can formally see some very special stuff, which I suppose is slightly given away by some obvious clues in the event names/descriptions. All who participate also, of course, get the opportunity to be listed as play testers in the future credits.
A lot of the events are filled or close to filled, so jump in! There are also two new prototypes that we are showing: Uproot: Arboreal Battleship and Florafiora, which the latter needs 4 players for. You will potentially be among the first public souls to experience these games!
There’s also another Tournament! So if you want to flex your skills on people and become the next AEGIS Champion, sign up!
Speaking of organized play…
THE AEGIS SUMMER LEAGUE
Got some AEGIS? Wanna track your record? Well whenever you play any games of AEGIS, online or in real life, just put in your results in here!
Everyone who participates and plays 10 games before the end of August gets a promo card (to be announced) at the end of the season and in invitation to the AEGIS Fall Tournament!
And finally, here’s a way to get those League Points…
AEGIS STREAM IS BACK
We’re doing streams again on our Twitch channel!
Every two weeks or so, we’re doing AEGIS games on Tabletop Simulator where you can see cool strats and game modes. This is made possible by the AEGIS community on our Discord channel helping run the Stream.
The next stream is… the 22nd! You should jump in!
Or catch the replays on our YouTube channel, complete with team lists for who was used.
And that’s what’s going on AEGISland! We’ll have more about AEGIS’s Gen Con events, deals and happenings after Origins. I hope to see you out there at one of these events, say hi!
PLUG: TWO ROBOTS
So I hear you may be a fan of color-coded fighting robots. Well, I stumbled upon this game some time ago, and I think it may be of interest to y’all!
