June 2015 – Take 5
Another month, another five news items to keep you apprised of! A.E.G.I.S. production is continuing its strong surge, and we’re bursting at the seams to talk about it with you, along with other news and events that continue to keep us on our toes! Here’s this month’s update!
Zephyr Workshop, in association with the Worcester Game Pile held our first Worcester Game Demo Meetup on June 16th at RunningStart Worcester! It was a lot of fun, with loads of interesting games and their creators showing up. The Massachusetts Digital Games Institute (Mass DiGI) and their Summer Innovation Program made an appearance as well, and we were very impressed with the quality of Worcester’s game development community. We’ll definitely be hosting more of these!
A.E.G.I.S. was at MASSive Comic Con on June 27th-28th! We had a blast demoing the last of our Core Sets, met lots of great people, and Jess Harnell from Animaniacs signed a dollar bill on Breeze’s back! We hope to be back next year for more comicraziness!
Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren came by RunningStart late in the month to talk with the companies based there, including Zephyr Workshop, about startups and the state (and national) economy. It was a great honor to meet her.
Breeze met with the Becker College board of trustees to outline Zephyr Workshop’s business plan for the future, including discussing our new games such as FloraFiora, and a super-secret card game that will be debuting at the Boston Festival of Indie Games in September 2015!
With GenCon 2015 fast approaching, we’ve been stepping up production of newer, clearer card designs for A.E.G.I.S.. Relying on input from our countless playtests of this game and fan input, we’re in the process of delivering a layout that keeps the information you need most for your battles front and center, while still being aesthetically pleasing. Stay tuned for the new layout, coming soon!
