May 2015 – Take 5

Here at Zephyr Workshop, things have been heating up this summer! Since PAX East ended, we’ve been hard at work on both A.E.G.I.S. and other projects, and have so much we want to tell you about.

In the spirit of our having five main robot types, we’re going to keep this first list down to the five most interesting matters we want to inform you of with regards to the company’s goings-ons. As we said, there’s so much more to discuss, but here’s this month’s top developments!

a-logo We have not one, but two NEW GAMES in the works! Stay tuned for more updates on our forays beyond the world of combining robots!

e-logoWe are hard at work laying out components, tweaking mechanics, and sprucing up designs for upcoming publication of A.E.G.I.S.! As we mentioned in our January post on the future of our game, we have a publisher lined up! We have teamed up with Greenbrier Games, of Zpocalypse, Heavy Steam, Ninja Dice and Yashima fame, to bring A.E.G.I.S. to the world.

g-logoWe have a new office! Read more about our coworking space at RunningStart in Worcester in our blog post from last week. It’s a great place to work.

i-logoWe’re networking! As part of an effort to expand and strengthen the game development community in Central MA, Zephyr Workshop is proud to be a part of the Worcester Game Pile, a group dedicated to bringing together game companies and the people who run them to socialize and grow the industry. We are going to be hosting meetups and game jams in the near future, which is good news for Central MA game devs!

s-logoWe have a new intern! Michael Epstein has joined the Zephyr Workshop team as an Associate Designer, and will also be helping man the blog for this summer. His focus will be primarily on rules writing and design for our new projects, and on organizing the workflow of Zephyr Workshop to help bring you games more efficiently.
